Ong Bak Star, Tony Jaa to make his first western movie debut in Fast and Furious 7

Ong Bak actor Tony Jaa is to join the latest movie in the Fast and Furious franchise, aptly named Fast And Furious 7. There isn't any confirmation on who Tony Jaa will be playing but I'm guessing he will be using his martial arts skills in Fast and Furious 7.
This would be the first English language film that Mr Jaa would be appearing in and hopefully not the last.

Tony Jaa will be joining Jason Statham, Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson along with other returning characters. In a statement Tony Jaa said:

"Having a chance to work with Vin Diesel and The Rock already makes me a winner."

Tony Jaa came to prominent fame in the west with the Ong Bak franchise where he show cased his martial arts and acting skills, one of his earliest movies is Spirited Killer which came out in 1987.

As aforementioned Tony Jaa came to prominent fame in the west with the first Ong Bak movie. The movie depicted a young monk living in the outskirts of the city in rural Thailand where a young wayward former villager sent to the city in order to work returns to the village and steals the head of the village deity. Tony Jaa's character is sent to the city in order to retrieve the head or else the village would be forever cursed.

Tony Jaa is also starring in a movie with former action hero Dolph Lundgren called A Man Will Rise.

"The film is an action film with comedy elements set in 1950's Thailand. A local gangster terrorizes a town. When a young local man stands up to the gangster the villain brings in a group of foreign hit men who like to dress as cowboys to pacify the town. Ultimately only one man can rise up to bring them down and save the town."

As a long time Tony Jaa fan, it is amazing to have him back on our screens with his martial arts skills, and hope to see more of him in the coming years.
